York Security Services is assisting Toronto Police Service (TPS) in the investigation of an attempted robbery on the seventh floor of 380 Assiniboine Road.
On August 22, 2012 at approximately 7:35 pm, York Security Services responded to a report of an attempted robbery of a cell phone from a female member of the York community. The victim reported that the suspect followed her on Assiniboine Road, into the apartment building at 380 Assiniboine Road and then into the same elevator. As both exited on the seventh floor, the suspect attempted to grab the victim’s iPhone from her hand. The victim did not relinquish the iPhone and screamed, at which point the suspect fled.
The suspect is described as:
- Male, black, 6′, slim to average build, no facial hair, wearing a white t-shirt with a black design on the front, black pants, and a black baseball cap with white writing on top and a flat brim.
