SECURITY BULLETIN: Robbery attempt on Campus Walk

A female York University student has reported a robbery attempt on Campus Walk at approximately 1pm on Monday July 30, 2012.

The student was walking near Bethune College and Calumet College when she was verbally accosted by a male who then grabbed her arm and attempted to steal her bag. The complainant resisted and the suspect fled on foot.

York Security is assisting Toronto Police Service (TPS) in the investigation of the robbery incident.

Toronto Police Service describes the suspect as follows:

  • Male, black, in his 20s, approximately 6’2” in height, thin build, with very short black hair, wearing a white collared shirt, beige shorts and a silver bracelet.
