SECURITY BULLETIN – MISSING PERSON

Toronto Police Service (TPS) and York Security Services (YSS) are seeking the community’s assistance in their search for a missing 67-year-old woman with Alzheimers who went missing Friday.

Hisako Goto, who has Alzheimers, went missing on Friday around 11 a.m. last seen near York University.

She is described as Japanese, 5’3’’, with a medium build, short black hair with grey strands, mole near right ear and thick eye brows.

Police advise she was last seen wearing a 3/4 length green military style coat, white shirt with dark stripes, dark blue denim jeans, and brown sandals.

Security Bulletins

Security Bulletins are issued with regard to incidents that occur on or near York University property when:

  • a serious incident has occurred and there is a risk of recurrence; and/or
  • there is a pattern of recurring, but less serious incidents (such as thefts or robberies); and/or
  • a Security or Police investigation will be assisted by bringing forward witnesses and information.

When an incident represents an immediate threat to the physical safety of persons at the University, there would be an immediate communication to all or to the affected parts of the University following the protocols outlined in York’s Emergency Plan and related procedures, employing the push notification on the Mobile Safety App, the LCD screens, and the emergency PA system.
